Max Emerson talks about his new movie hooked, his life as an Instagram celebrity and how he met his boyfriend, Andres Camilo.

“You’re seeing like a very photoshopped curated life,” Max Emerson divulges to the camera. “I’m a giant nerd and I pretty much just watch TV with my boyfriend and cuddle all the time. Although it looks like I’m constantly traveling the world and hanging out with male underpants supermodels.”

Hooked is a film that Max wrote about six years ago. Originally he couldn’t find funding for the film as producers told him it was “too gay.” Max took to social media and helped fund the film through an Indiegogo campaign.

Hooked follows Jack, a homeless teenage prostitute with a smart mouth and impulsive tendencies. He battles through a violent world of reckless johns between New York City and Miami, desperately seeking a better life with his boyfriend Tom.
