Fresh off his record-breaking events during WorldPride at the Javits Center, super-producer Jake Resnicow is raising the bar of nightlife yet again; this time teaming up with ZeroSpace to create the world’s first 5D Nightclub.
What is 5D, you ask? We had to Google it to learn that 5D is three dimensional images (better known as 3D), plus the addition of movement (dancing and jumping) and special effects.
“I’m always looking to create over-the-top experiences that incorporate all the senses,” says Resnicow. He predicts all will be astounded and amazed at the November 23rd premiere event. It takes place at ZeroSpace, a sleek, futuristic 25,000 square foot mega-venue that features bleeding-edge technological art, inspired by the sensational visuals of the Burning Man festival.
There are five rooms of sensory experiences including the spectacular main room, fully video-mapped with sound by Global Audio. There are also ten massive technology-driven installations including the world’s largest augmented reality sandbox (that clubbers can dig their hands in!) and a sprawling laser forest (that clubbers can actually lay down in).
Clubbers can engage with six interactive LED screens that mirror their body movements with reality-bending animation, then lose themselves in the 150 animations of Parastella, a 20-ft LED sculpture direct from Burning Man. They can even blast off in another dimension inside the 30-foot Geodesic Dome.
Says Resnicow, “Get ready to touch, feel and live like never before!”
Sydney’s DJ Kitty Glitter will spin alongside NYC’s Joe Pacheco, whisking all on a musical journey with eclectic high-energy vocals from classics to disco, pop and house.
“We are so excited to partner with Jake and the LGBTQ community in this new monthly event,” says ZeroSpace founder Jordan Lejuwaan, “Get ready to lose yourself in the immersive power of art.”
