Love wins as Australian parliament votes in favor of gay marriage.
After an intense and at times harsh debate on marriage equality spanning more than a decade, Australia has voted in favor of love for all.
“What a day for love, for equality, for respect,” said Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. “Australia has done it.”
The parliament erupted in a sea of applause, cheers and singing following the results of this historic vote.
