Anti-Gay Republican Oklahoma State Senator Ralph Shortey has been charged with soliciting the prostitution of a teenage boy.
Oklahoma Police arrested State Senator Ralph Shortey while smoking pot in a Super 8 motel room with JM, a 17-year-old boy, according to police. Officers learned of “sexting” about bareback sex on the messaging app “Kik,” between Senator Shortey and the boy who goes by the online moniker “Jaime Tilley” or “JM.” The two originally met more than a year ago from a Craigslist personal encounter ad.

In the affidavit, it includes an online exchange between the senator and JM. First JM told Senator Ralph Shortey “I need money for spring break.” Senator Ralph Shortey replied, “I don’t really have any legitimate things I need help with right now. Would you be interested in “sexual” stuff?” JM replied “Yes.” The conversation goes on with both discussing logistics and how and where JM and Senator Ralph Shortey are going to meet. JM tells Senator Shortey “Hey keep updated cause I want you bad daddy.” the defendant responds, “I’m gonna fuck you like a good little boy if you keep calling me daddy.” JM responded, “I want your vim all in .my man pussy.” JM corrected himself stating, “Cum.” Ralph Shortey said “Boy pussy, baby boy. ”

Senator Ralph Shortey who led the Oklahoma Trump presidential campaign, resigned after the child prostitution charges came to light.
Senator Ralph Shortey resigned from office last week following charges of soliciting the prostitution of a minor, engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church, and transporting a minor for prostitution. Shortey said that his resignation “is evidence of my respect for public service and the duties of our elected officials.”
Ralph Shortey had consistently voted against LGBTQ rights
Senator Ralph Shortey continuously voted in line with his Republican colleagues on bills targeting gay and transgender people. One such measure, passed earlier this year, allows Oklahoma business owners to discriminate against gay people.
The teenage boy’s father tipped off police
Acting on a tip from JM’s father, police in the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore say they went to a Super 8 motel earlier this month and smelled marijuana coming from a room. Police say they found Shortey and the boy and a gram of pot, condoms and lube.
According to Shortey’s official bio, in 2002 the ex-senator married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer. The have three children together.
